Bring your own API key
BYOK lets you connect your own Anthropic API key to Postbrander instead of using the AI allowance included in your plan. You pay Anthropic directly for model usage and pay us a lower software fee — £14/mo on Pro, £44/mo on Business. Works across all our AI features, including research mode and carousel generation.
This usually works out cheaper for heavier users and is useful for teams that already have an enterprise Anthropic account — a setup common among the agencies running Postbrander across multiple client accounts. Lighter users are better off on the standard plan, where AI usage is included.
Your API key is stored encrypted and used only to generate posts you request. You can remove it from Settings at any time.

What's included on the free plan?+
Five posts a month, 10 AI generations, one LinkedIn connection, and standard generation mode. No credit card required to start and no time limit on the free plan.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. You can downgrade to the free plan or delete your account entirely. Scheduled posts continue to publish until the end of your billing period.
What does BYOK mean?+
Bring Your Own Key. You can connect your own Anthropic API key and save £5 a month on Pro or Business plans. Postbrander uses your key to generate posts, so you pay Anthropic directly for AI usage and pay us a lower software fee.
Do unused posts roll over?+
No. Post and generation limits reset at the start of your billing period. If you need more, you can upgrade mid-cycle and the change is pro-rated.
What's the difference between posts and generations?+
A generation is one AI-written draft. A post is an approved draft that publishes to LinkedIn. You'll typically use two or three generations per published post — revising the draft until it's right.
Is there a team or agency plan?+
The Business plan supports five LinkedIn connections, which covers most agency and in-house team workflows. If you need more, contact us and we'll sort a custom plan.
What happens to my scheduled posts if I downgrade?+
Scheduled posts continue publishing until your current period ends. After that, posting is capped at the new plan's limit and excess scheduled posts are left as drafts for you to decide on.
Do you offer refunds?+
If something breaks or the tool is not fit for purpose, email us and we'll refund the current month. For change-of-mind cancellations we honour your current billing period and do not renew.
