Bring your own API key
BYOK lets you connect your own Anthropic API key to Postbrander. The Basic plan includes 100 AI generations a month using our key. If you plug in your own key, the cap goes away. You pay Anthropic directly for usage on your key, we don't charge extra. Works across all our AI features including research mode and carousel generation.
This is useful if you generate dozens of drafts a week, run Postbrander across multiple voice profiles, or already have an Anthropic enterprise account. Lighter users are better off on the standard Basic plan, where 100 generations a month is plenty.
Your API key is stored encrypted and used only to generate posts you request. You can remove it from Settings at any time.

What's included on the free plan?+
Seven posts a month, 10 AI generations, one LinkedIn connection, and standard generation mode. No credit card required, no time limit. Every new signup also gets 60 days of full Basic before dropping to the free tier.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. You can downgrade to the free plan or delete your account entirely. Scheduled posts continue to publish until the end of your billing period.
What does BYOK mean?+
Bring Your Own Key. On the Basic plan you can connect your own Anthropic API key, which removes the 100-generation monthly cap. You pay Anthropic directly for usage on your key, we don't charge extra. Useful if you generate a lot of drafts or run multiple voice profiles.
Do unused generations roll over?+
No. The 100 AI generations on Basic reset at the start of your billing period. Posts are unlimited on Basic, so the only thing that can hit a cap is generations.
What's the difference between posts and generations?+
A generation is one AI-written draft. A post is an approved draft that publishes to LinkedIn. You'll typically use two or three generations per published post, revising the draft until it's right.
Is there a team or agency plan?+
Not yet. The Basic plan supports two LinkedIn connections, which works for solo professionals managing a personal profile plus a side project. If you need more, contact us and we'll sort a custom arrangement.
What happens to my scheduled posts if I downgrade?+
Scheduled posts continue publishing until your current period ends. After that, posting is capped at the new plan's limit and excess scheduled posts are left as drafts for you to decide on.
Do you offer refunds?+
If something breaks or the tool is not fit for purpose, email us and we'll refund the current month. For change-of-mind cancellations we honour your current billing period and do not renew.
