How Postbrander helps you post on LinkedIn

Postbrander turns one real thing from your week into a LinkedIn post in your voice, checks it for AI tells and shaky claims, then schedules it.

Postbrander is a LinkedIn writing tool for people who know they should post and don't. You give it one real thing from your week, it asks you 2 or 3 questions, and it writes the post in your voice. Then it checks the draft for the patterns readers now spot as AI writing, flags claims it can't back up, and publishes it on your schedule through LinkedIn's official API.

I built it in Claude Code because I had the same problem. I enjoy talking about SEO. Writing it up for LinkedIn every week kept losing to client work.

Who Postbrander is for

People message me asking how to write LinkedIn posts. Usually they know their subject inside out. They're stuck at the blank box, or they've tried an AI tool and got back something that sounds like everyone else's feed.

That's who it's for. Consultants, founders, specialists: anyone whose work is worth talking about and who would rather be doing it than writing about it.

How it works, step by step

  1. Start with something real. Type a client question, a mistake, a number that surprised you. Or record it out loud and voice-to-post turns it into a draft.
  2. Answer 2 or 3 questions. If your topic is thin, Postbrander asks for the details only you have, worded for your topic. "Which audit, for which client, and what did it miss?" gets you further than "share your thoughts on audits".
  3. Get a draft in your voice. Your voice profile is built from examples of your own writing: tone, length, the words you'd never use.
  4. Review it properly. You see the post as it will look on LinkedIn, add an image if you want one, and get a check for AI-looking layouts. A fact-check flags claims worth confirming before you publish.
  5. Schedule it. Pick a time and it publishes for you. Nothing goes out until you've approved it.

Why it won't read like every other AI post

LinkedIn is full of posts with the same shape: a one-line hook, emoji bullets, a question glued to the end. Readers spot it from across the feed. I wrote up the specific tells in Can LinkedIn readers spot AI-written posts?.

Postbrander checks every draft against the formatting tells documented in Wikipedia's field guide to AI writing: bold labels at the start of lines, three-item lists everywhere, phrases like "highlighting the importance of" that sound like analysis and say nothing. It also tells the writer to avoid them before the draft reaches you.

It won't make things up about you, either. This month I found a draft for one of our users that opened with "Spent a Friday afternoon last month watching a competitor's demo". That never happened. When a brief has no real material in it, Postbrander now writes an opinion or a how-to, and checks the draft for invented timing before you see it.

What I changed this month

I've spent the past month going back over the whole product. The changes you'd notice:

  • Post stats. Connect them once and see impressions, people reached, saves and link clicks for every post.
  • Questions worded for your topic before it drafts.
  • Images while you review, so the preview shows the post you're actually about to publish.
  • Every engagement figure on the site checked against its source. 5 didn't hold up, and they're gone. The sourced numbers are on the LinkedIn benchmarks page.
  • Connecting LinkedIn works again for new accounts. It had been failing, and that's fixed.

My own numbers

I use it for my own LinkedIn: 24 posts published through Postbrander so far. Over the last 30 days they reached 861 people, with 2,207 impressions, 37 reactions and 7 comments.

Nothing to shout about yet. But it's a baseline I can now measure, which I couldn't before.

What it costs

  • Free plan: 7 posts and 10 AI drafts a month, 1 voice profile. No card.
  • New accounts get 60 days of Basic to start.
  • Basic: £9.99 a month for unlimited posts, 100 AI drafts, 3 voice profiles and 2 LinkedIn connections. Add your own Anthropic API key and the draft limit goes.

Full details are on the pricing page.

What it won't do

It won't auto-like posts, join engagement pods, or publish anything you haven't approved. LinkedIn's 2026 authenticity changes go after engagement bait and coordinated liking, and being visible is about people recognising your thinking anyway.

Questions people ask

What is Postbrander?
Postbrander is a LinkedIn writing and scheduling tool built by James Burfield. It turns one real thing from your week into a post in your voice, checks the draft for AI-looking patterns and claims it can't back up, then publishes it through LinkedIn's official API at the time you choose. The free plan covers 7 posts a month.
Does Postbrander post anything without my approval?
No. Drafts stay in your account until you approve and schedule them, and you can edit every one first. If you switch on daily drafts, each arrives by email for approval before it goes anywhere. Postbrander never auto-likes posts or joins engagement pods on your behalf.
Will my posts sound like AI wrote them?
Postbrander is built to avoid that. Drafts start from material you supply, follow a voice profile built from your own writing, and are checked for the formatting patterns readers link with AI. When you haven't given it a real story, it writes an opinion or a how-to and never invents one.
How much does Postbrander cost?
The free plan includes 7 published posts and 10 AI drafts a month, with no card needed, and new accounts get 60 days of the Basic plan to start. Basic is £9.99 a month for unlimited posts, 100 AI drafts, 3 voice profiles and 2 LinkedIn connections.
Can I see how my LinkedIn posts perform in Postbrander?
Yes, once you connect post stats in Settings. LinkedIn asks for that permission separately from posting. You then see impressions, people reached, reactions, comments, reposts, saves, sends and link clicks, pulled daily, plus an on-demand refresh for any single post.
